The peace process between Israelis and Palestinians, which occurred in the 1990’s, is depicted in the American documentary Promises (2001). The issue of land appropriation is highlighted in the film through both Arabian and Jewish children’s voices while debating about their rights of belonging. In this article, we demonstrate the representation of the conflict through the documentary, highlighting the land problem, and considering the historical contextualization of the period in which the documentary was produced.Downloads
